Soy Milk

How I make our Soy milk.






  • Soak 1 cup soy beans until double in size – I usually just do it overnight. This should give you about 2 cups. The end result is about 1 cup beans to 4 cups water. 
  • Rinse beans – then add to blender and add about 2 cups water. Blend
  • Strain liquid through mesh cloth – squeeze mesh cloth to get all the liquid. 
  • Discard pulp. 
  • Add Milk to pot- add about 2 cups more water. I just put my strainer on top of the pot so the milk ends up in the pot I am cooking it in.
  • Cook soy milk in insta pot for 10 min on med heat. If using stove I would bring to boil then simmer about 20 min 
  • Let cool 
  • Add to half gallon jar (8 cup) fill remainder of jar with water. 
  • Keep in fridge. 
  • Feel free to play with ratios of water to milk. If you want thicker milk use more beans to your water ratio.
